About this editorial team

Tom Peeters has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2019 and verifies every claim paying particular attention to dice games. Base: Antwerpen.

How we test. every test starts with a real account, make a deposit with the Bancontact app, ask for the money back and measure how long it takes. Every operator goes past the Gaming Commission's white and black lists and go over the small print word by word. What we did not establish ourselves is not mentioned.

Our income comes from affiliate commissions; that does not change what the review says. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.

Player protection in numbers

Belgium regulates player protection more strictly than most of its neighbours and it is built that way on purpose. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200. A lower limit takes effect directly, raising it needs a check and a waiting period.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: a single request is enough to stay out everywhere at once. Reversing it is not immediate. Under-21s have been shut out of casino, hall and betting since September 2024; scratch cards and Lotto stay at 18. The check is automatic.
